  • Bike: There is a bike path that runs along the south side of the site.
  • Dial-a-ride: There is a dial-a-ride stop located within 0.25 miles of the site.
  • Bus stop: There is a bus stop located within 0.25 miles of the site.
  • Trail: There is a walking and biking trail that runs through the site.
  • Other: The site is also accessible by boat and kayak.

The portion of the community’s population that will be in walking distance of the project site is approximately 25%. This is based on the U.S. Census Bureau’s definition of walking distance, which is 0.5 miles.

The organization will provide opportunities to ensure the community has access to the Community Farm in a number of ways, including:

  • Providing free or discounted transportation to the site: The organization will work with local transportation providers to offer free or discounted transportation to the site for people who need it.
  • Offering flexible hours: The organization will offer flexible hours so that people can visit the site at times that work for them.
  • Providing childcare: The organization will provide childcare so that parents can visit the site without having to worry about their children.
  • Providing translation services: The organization will provide translation services so that people who speak other languages can access the site.
  • Providing outreach to underserved communities: The organization will reach out to underserved communities to let them know about the site and to encourage them to visit.

The organization is committed to ensuring that the Community Farm is accessible to everyone in the community.
